RN/LPN Unit Manager with 5K retention

Virginia Beach Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center has an exciting opportunity for an RN or LPN Unit Manager, in our 180 bed long term care and rehab center in Virginia Beach.

This position pays out a $5000 retention bonus as follows:

The Unit Manager will oversee clinical operations of the unit and is responsible for staff supervision of nurses and CNAs, as well as interfacing with physicians, QI reporting and follow-up, and providing clinical expertise to staff as needed. Unit Manager Requirements:

RN Staff Development Coordinator (SDC)

Virginia Beach Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Virginia Beachis seeking an RN for our Staff Development Coordinator position.

The RN Staff Development Coordinator manages and provides required education to the entire staff and is also responsible for employee health.

Employee health encompasses administration and management of Hepatitis B vaccinations and PPD annual checks. Requires expert knowledge of basic nursing skills (patient assessment, infection control, IV therapy, medication administration, etc.) and a desire to pass that knowledge on to others.

The Staff Development Coordinator works closely with the HR manager to provide new hire orientation. The SDC evaluates the educational needs to ensure on-going continuing education and adherence to applicable required in-service education for all staff. Identifies, assesses, and implements in-service programs as needed regarding the satisfactory performance of clinical skills and knowledge.

Serves as Infection Control Nurse, reports infection control practices to Infection Control Officer and Administrator.

He/she is responsible for assisting the Business Office Manager in the accurate and efficient maintenance of patient financial records while in compliance with MFA policies and procedures as well as applicable federal and state regulations. The Assistant Business Office Manager also audits and analyzes Medicaid and co-pay accounts receivables to assure accuracy.

Required qualifications include an associate degree and account analysis and audit experience. A bachelor’s degree and experience in long-term care and/or a medical office management are preferred.

The Occupational Therapist evaluates residents, develops effective treatment plans, and obtains approval for service from the referring physician. Treats residents to the physician’s treatment plan. Job Specific Duties:

• Screens, evaluates and develops programs for implementation for all patients as needed.
• Supervises Occupational Therapist Assistants and aides according to state guidelines.
• Develops effective occupational therapy treatment plans and goals to meet each patient’s needs.
• Collaborates/communicates effectively with other center team members to ensure optimal patient care and progress.
• Prioritizes responsibilities to ensure efficient clinical operations.
• Demonstrates ability and willingness to attain productivity benchmark.
• Completes documentation/billing timely, and accurately. Ensures MD orders are obtained according to company policy and procedure.

 

Skills and Abilities:

•Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills.
•Demonstrates effective problem-solving skills.

 

Requirements:

Occupational Therapists will hold licensure as outlined by the state Board of Occupational Therapy in the state of employment.
