The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct care to the residents of the health and rehabilitation center, assisting them in activities of daily living under the direction and supervision of a professional nurse. Those duties include but are not limited to bathing, dressing, serving and collecting food trays, feeding residents, measuring and recording weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output as directed. Every other weekends is required for this position. You will be scheduled every other weekend.

Qualifications: 

Must have current Virginia Nurse Aide license in good standing

OR

Have a certificate from an accredited CNA class and MUST take boards and have license within 120 day of hire.

NOTE:  $5000 bonus will be paid out as follows:  Full time $1250 at 3 months, 6 months, 9 months and 1 year of service; Part time $625 at 3 months, 6 month, 9 months and 1 year of service

RN Unit Manager 11pm - 7 am with Retention Bonus

Virginia Beach Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center has an exciting opportunity for an RN Unit Manager for the 11 pm to 7 am Shift in our 180 bed long term care and rehab center in Virginia Beach.

This position pays out a $5000 retention bonus as follows:

$1250 will be paid out at 3 months, 6 months, 9 months and 12 months.  

The Unit Manager will oversee clinical operations of the unit and is responsible for staff supervision of nurses and CNAs, as well as interfacing with physicians, QI reporting and follow-up, and providing clinical expertise to staff as needed. This individual will oversee one of our long term care units and ensure the care and needs are provided for the residents while providing excellent customer service to them, as well as their family.  Typical hours are Monday through Friday day shift, with some weekend and on-call duties.

Unit Manager Requirements:

•Current active LPN or RN license by the Virginia Board of Nursing or a Multi-state 
•Minimum three to five years of experience as a floor nurse, preferably in long term care.
•Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state regulations as they relate to long term care.
•Minimum of one year Nursing Management experience.

MDS Coordinator

Virginia Beach Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a full time MDS Coordinator with a license to practice as a Registered Nurse/ or Licensed Practical Nurse for our 180 bed skilled nursing facility in Virginia Beach.

 

The typical schedule for the MDS Coordinator is Monday-Friday with a weekend rotation of Manager on Duty.

 

The MDS Coordinator is responsible for completing minimum data set assessments and creating comprehensive plans of care after review of the patient's medical record and communication with direct care staff, the patient's physician, and family. The MDS Coordinator develops and completes the patient assessment process in accordance with the requirements of federal and state regulations and company policies and procedures.

RN Staff Development Coordinator (SDC)

Virginia Beach Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Virginia Beachis seeking an RN for our Staff Development Coordinator position.

The RN Staff Development Coordinator manages and provides required education to the entire staff and is also responsible for employee health.

Employee health encompasses administration and management of Hepatitis B vaccinations and PPD annual checks. Requires expert knowledge of basic nursing skills (patient assessment, infection control, IV therapy, medication administration, etc.) and a desire to pass that knowledge on to others.

The Staff Development Coordinator works closely with the HR manager to provide new hire orientation. The SDC evaluates the educational needs to ensure on-going continuing education and adherence to applicable required in-service education for all staff. Identifies, assesses, and implements in-service programs as needed regarding the satisfactory performance of clinical skills and knowledge.

Serves as Infection Control Nurse, reports infection control practices to Infection Control Officer and Administrator.

Qualified candidates must be a licensed RN, have a minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a nurse, and clinical training experience.

The ideal SDC candidate will have the qualifications to teach CNA classes however we will support them to achieve this educational goal upon hire.

Maintenance Director

The Maintenance Director maintains preventive maintenance schedules using Building Engines, Electronic facility Management system. Repairs physical structures, maintains utility systems of building, and maintains grounds. Supervises support staff and contractors as applicable. Installs, services, and repairs mechanical equipment.

 

Education: High School Diploma or GED

 

Licensure: Valid driver’s license

 

Experience and/or Pre-requisites

  • Two years’ experience in Maintenance in a commercial setting, Healthcare experience preferred.
  • Possesses the knowledge and skills necessary to diagnose and repair the above systems.
  • Must be CFC certified in refrigeration Type I minimum within 6 months of hire date.

The Maintenance Technician performs preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on the physical structure, equipment and grounds of the center as directed by the Maintenance Director, Administrator or Corporate Maintenance staff. Infection Preventionist Nurse (RN)

Virginia Beach Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center a premier provider of post-acute care services in Virginia Beach, Virginia is searching for an Infection Preventionist Nurse.

 

The Infection Preventionist will coordinate, manage, and implement the Center’s infection prevention and control program. Under the leadership of the Director of Nursing and Administrator, the Infection Preventionist will work directly with all employees, patients, medical providers, and pharmacists to fully implement all aspects of the infection prevention and control program which is designed to comply with all aspects of CDC, CMS, OSHA and other federal and state guidelines for long-term care.

The Infection Preventionist will provide training, supervision, and conduct compliance audits within the Center to validate the center’s adherence to the program. In addition, the Infection Preventionist will develop action plans to ensure regulatory compliance, patient, and employee safety. The Infection Preventionist will work collaboratively with center employees to promote employee contributions to infection prevention and control planning at the center and corporate levels. The Infection Preventionist will work closely with the Corporate Clinical Education Specialist in the development of policies, procedures, protocols, and training programs to improve infection prevention and control activities that promote patient care and safety.

 

Position Requirements:

  • Must be a licensed RN.
  • 1+ years of infection prevention control experience in an acute or post-acute care setting. Experience in a skilled nursing/long term care environment is preferred.
  • Must have completed or is willing to complete specialized training in infection prevention and control for long-term care. Infection Control Practitioner Certification (CIC) is preferred.
  • Experience in adult clinical education.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively team build and develop positive working relationships at all levels of the organization. Demonstrated ability to interact proactively with a culturally diverse employee and patient populations.
  • Must be able to work independently, prioritize responsibilities and adjust to rapidly changing priorities.
  • Must be proficient in Excel.

Central Supply Coordinator

Virginia Beach Healthcare & Rehabilitation Centerin Virginia Beach, Virginia is seeking a Central Supply Coordinator. A high-energy person is needed to coordinate needs and provide supplies and equipment within our healthcare center.

 

The Central Supply Coordinator assesses the need for and provides supplies and equipment in an efficient manner and in accordance with applicable state, federal and MFA guidelines. Maintains supply room areas with adequate inventory, follows proper purchasing procedures, and monitors MSDS with OSHA regulations. Communicates regularly with nursing staff to ensure adequate supplies are obtained and available according to patient needs. Ensures that supply and equipment charges are adequately communicated to Finance Department.
